Dilemma of an insinuated mind
I wonder what I am doing and what I am doing it for? The answer is I am doing nothing and I am doing this nothing because what I can do does not help me achieve anything and there is nothing I can do which may help me achieve what I want. Is that really so? I wonder. The dilemma of an insinuated mind. A mind insinuated with the ideas of achieving what its heart governs rather than doing what the world wants. Such a mind shall always be in a dilemma, always at crossroads with its surroundings. Why? Why cant the ocean's tide allow a boat to follow its course? Actually it does. But only for some boats. Others have to face the tide and work hard at the oars. Right now what I am doing is waiting for the tide to change its course. I am not pulling at the oars. I did that for quite sometime but now I am waiting. Am I alone in the ocean? No, I see many others have let go of their oars. Some who see the shore near are still working. But not all. Not me.

waah! kya g& se khola hai!!!!
Its beautiful...it is poetic...but it is not right kush. It may not be the best way to go about...waiting for the tide to turn means that you are allowing the present tide to take it anywhere it wishes to..and so it may be..that when the tide turns, you are too far off the shore...
Apart from the metaphors....What is the wrong tide that you are trapped into? What can you achieve by pulling the oars? And shall it not be better to look at a different shore?
Saucy is an idiot. :P
well .. I really appreciate the small piece of masterpiece which you have posted... though in your peculiar style.
I think that that is always some randomness in the direction of tides. Sometimes, no matter how hard we try with our oars, still without the favorable tide, we will not reach shore. If one knows that, he tends not to make that effort of rowing the boat and can not do anything than to wait for favourable tide.
Ha.There may be numerous subtle but so important questions in all this tide-ocean-boat thing. I asked a few of them in my previous comment, and because of lack of concern of the author who has not cared to reply, I shall ask no more.
So my suggestion is forget the tides buddy...Its getting dramatic and in all the drama, we are missing the point.
Let us begin it all by naming things, rather than letting them pass as boats,oars,tide and ocean. They will help us all know what the ocean is, what the tide is, against which we are fighting, and what is the tide for which we are waiting..Knowing concretly what we are fighting against, and what we are waiting for is half the job done.
So let us begin. Shall we?
@shanu
two comments in a span of 1/2 hr and accusitions of no reply to first.. in a hurry you are. :)
By the way, regarding your first comment, I believe mak presented a good enough view but we cannot be certain which view is right. Can we? What we are discussing are two views and i believe a 'view' or an opinion can never be wrong. Atleast never for the person who supports them. Anyways, too much of philosophy. Firstly, I had always intended it to be dramatic. Secondly, the post makes use of symbolism which I am studying right now so I thought of applying it. The interpretation of symbols depends mostly on the reader. Subliminally, we do associate a certain meaning to things. So, you would surely have attached your own understanding with these metaphors.
What I had intended them to be is society(specifically surroundigs, which I have used as well), the problems and the person. Of course, I have written it in first person but I did not wish to limit myself to that. I intend that this be viewed in a more general way such that everyone can associate with it at some point of time.
Yaar thoda simple angrezi use kar liya karo. Aakhir me tumhe kya maza aata hai jab logo ko tumhari baat nahi samajh aati hai. At least simple blog ek baar me samajh to aa jata hai chaahe jaisa bhi likha ho.IITK ke lecture jaisa blog likha hai. Yahan pe har koi philospher nahi hai aur na hi har kisi ne lingo ka course kar rakha hai. Btw Kala ki writing skills tumse acchi nahi hain but he addresses wider base of readers. Please iska simple version likh do phir kuch samajh aayega to uspe comment kar doonga(relevant).
@vatsheel
Thanks for the criticism. A writer should not limit him/herself to a particular base of readers. I have only tried to do that. This blog was preceded by three other blogs which I suppose have not been read by you because then these comments might not have come. Anyways, I think writing a one-off blog which was just to let me explore my creativity is a bad thing if some people are not able to understand.
nice posts.
plz. dont drift back to ur earlier style . the latest blog is certainly a relief . its well written and double-edged as many a readers like their text to be .
curbing ur creativity will not serve you ne purpose in the long run. neways u r not a writer who has to sell as many copies as possible . i suppose v r all here to hone our writing skills besides bringing our thots to ppr....
so , ...stay selfish !
correction in my last comment: " ...just to let me explore my creativity is not a bad thing... "
Excellent!!
Is it really from Kush?
@Lava:
Please don't doubt my capabilities. :)
By the way, I don't think any other comment would have made me happier as it screams "Exceeds Expectations" :)
Dear Kush
Your effort is praiseworthy in terms of literature but I fully agree to what Shanu had said that we should not wait for the favourable condions but should turn the motion of the waves towards ourselves. it is no doubt that it is a marvellous piece and you really deserve applause but next time I want something very positive from you
Mamta Sharma
Dear Madam,
Thanks for the comments. I, too, do not believe this is the best way to go about but sometimes the alternative of trying to turn the tide is laced with much more difficulties that it is better to wait, particularly when you know that the tide shall soon be with you. Moreover, if I had written it that way, it might not have been that good. :)
that means writing just for the sake of writing(i.e.looking good)!!!
Its more abt thought man.
not just that it looks good or bad.
the thought content is bigger than the 'looking good'.
e.g. 'colourless green ideas fly'
loooks good but doesnt makes sense!
@Saucy:
True, thought content is bigger but as I have mentioned earlier this was to let me explore my creativity. Moreover, I have only made comparison between two thoughts both of which make sense.
